BENIGN PAROXYSMAL POSITIONAL VERTIGO
BPPV is one of the most common causes of dizziness. BPPV occurs when crystals from the Saccule become disloged and float into the Semicircular canals resulting in dizziness when changing head positions (lying down, looking up or down, getting in and out of bed, etc.).
When you come to our offices reporting dizziness, a careful case history will be taken and you will be checked for BPPV.
Should BPPV be the cause for your dizziness a treatment will be performed in office to move the crystals back into the Saccule where they belong.
